Data Protection and Encryption
If you carry your business with you at all times, send sensitive and important data and emails to colleagues over the network, possess valuable information, and want to ensure that no one else can read or steal it, we recommend implementing encryption to secure your data.
Encryption is the process of encoding messages or information in such a way that unauthorized individuals cannot access them, while making them easily accessible to you. In the encryption process, a message or information, which would otherwise be in plain, visible text, is encrypted using encryption algorithms that transform the information into unreadable ciphertext. Someone who gains unauthorized access to the ciphertext cannot read the original message from it. On the other hand, the intended recipient of the message can easily decrypt the ciphertext using a decryption algorithm with the help of a secret decryption key. Unauthorized parties do not possess the secret key, making the original information or message invisible to them.
According to your wishes and needs, we can offer you cryptographic solutions for your sensitive data, whether they are located on a hard drive, laptop, portable disk, USB flash drive, or if you want to securely transmit them in encrypted form over the network.
By using cryptography, it is easy and straightforward to protect important and sensitive data from theft and unauthorized access outside your network and, perhaps more importantly, from theft within your environment.
Most often, we recommend encryption for external portable hard drives and USB flash drives to our clients because they are the most exposed to loss or theft. Likewise, encryption of entire system partitions on desktop or laptop computers is quite common.
